Awesome!
I am new here and also new to Christianity…but am loving this space and place! I am attending Jacobs Well in Kansas City, MO (www.jacobswellchurch.org) and found this site while searching awhile back for some answers.
Thanks for helping me start my day with the thought that. “I don’t have to have it all together.” This is liberating and freeing to a young gay man who recently found his faith.
I could bore you with sordid details, but suffice it to say my exposure to God and church at a younger age was Fundamental and Baptist. (Eeeeek!) They quickly rejected me as soon as I began to find my voice in high school. (I guess it was okay to have a boyfriend, just don’t tell us and DO NOT bring him to church? Well, ‘cept that whole going to hell part?
